Bush don't know 'Green'!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2007/sep/29/usnews.climatechange
- I'm pissed off. -
"George Bush was castigated by European diplomats and found himself isolated yesterday after a special conference on climate change ended without any progress."

So, once again Mr. Bush's banter in front of the leaders of the world show how isolated the US is one this issue. It was clear, says there is no support among the industrialised countries for the proposition that we should proceed on the basis of voluntary commitments. It really is disgusting, the arrogance that we have to separate ourselves to serve our "best interests of economic growth and prosperity".
Furthermore, it's ironic how the governor of California, the 'terminator', is doing more with his state than Bush is doing for the US. He's actually putting caps on pollutants and emissions having just signed a law requiring a 25% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2020, with penalties for industries that do not comply. California's three biggest utilities must produce at least 20% of their electricity using renewable sources by 2010.

I can't believe that California's governor is more aware of the environment than Bush. Actually i'm not that surprised, the only thing I like about Bush is that he is standing his ground on vetoing the children's health care bill. I haven't heard Bush talk about the environment in a while, makes me think he doesn't have any ideas on what to say about it. I can't wait for the next election.

you know what Ben... i'm pissed to, however i've been pissed since the day he got elected into office! just like chris said he really only seems to have one stance, and thats on vetoing the children's health care bill. nothing else matters to him and thats a little scary, and keeping the U.S. isolated is only going to do more harm than good. other countries already don't like us, now were giving them a real reason not to. but its okay, his term is almost over.

Schwarzeneger (or however you spell his crazy name) is really a serious conservationist..Newsweek called him this century's Teddy Roosevelt..he does so much in California and provides with an interesting "national model."

It's sad when a state has to take the lead on something that the federal government should defnitely be aware of. But, it's one of the great strengths of federal system of government- shared power between the states and the national government.

I think that one of the worst blows was when he did not sign the Kyoto treaty. He seemed like a little child in his rationalization. "But because of the rules, Russia will have an advantage." Stop treating the world as a game and pay attention, lil' Bush.
